Dear Hearthstone Heatwaves Families, 

It's hard to believe it's almost time for our summer swim season. We are reaching out to provide important information on fun events and the upcoming swim season.

📅 Important Dates:

• Saturday, March 22nd:
  • Swim team information available at the park 10-12 during the Garden Club plant sale. Tell your neighbors and friends to stop by and say hi!
• Saturday, March 29th:
  • 10AM Walk the Stone - Pass out fliers throughout our neighborhood to spread the word about our swim team. Meet at the park. RSVP on swimtopia by March 25th so we have a headcount of how many people can help. Maps and fliers will be distributed prior. We encourage our seniors and/or high school swimmers to help so please sign up today.
  • 1-3 PM Popsicles in the Park - Community event at the park to learn about the swim team. Please talk with your neighbors and friends about coming. We encourage current swimmers to attend for a fun day with swim friends at the park. Not just for new swimmers.
• Saturday, March 29th: Registration opens for returning swimmers.
• Saturday, April 5th:
  • Swim team information available at the Epiphany Carnival April 5th 10AM-2PM.
• Tuesday, April 15th:
  • Dry land practice begins at the park
  • Parent meeting (mandatory please) at the park 5PM
  • Swimsuit vendor onsite to order suits
• April 16-17th: New swimmer evaluations.
• Saturday April 18th: Registration opens for new swimmers.
• Tuesday, April 22nd: Pool practice begins.
• May 2nd: Team Registration closes. Registration needs to be paid in full before swimmers can begin any water practices.
• Max Donuts Spirit Days: Every Wednesday during swim season portion of sales is donated to our swim team. Mention the Hearthstone Heatwaves.

💰Registration Process:

In past years of the swim team, it was a requirement that all swim team families hold a membership to the Hearthstone Country Club. In order for non-members to utilize the pool facilities for swim team activities, the Hearthstone Country Club is enforcing a facilities fee for non-members (approximately $100 per non-member swimmer). We are trying to keep registration fees as low as possible; however we need to increase dues and have decided to apply a $25 facilities fee per non-member swimmer. The swim team is funding the difference ($75 per non-member swimmer) of the amount and will pay the remainder owed to the club at the close of registration. The facilities fee allows non-members access to the pool during practices and swim meetings. Swim team families who are not members are not allowed to swim at the pool outside of practices and swim meets. As part of the swim team registration, please indicate if you are a member of the Hearthstone Country club. If not, we will be collecting the facilities fee prior to the first swim meet. We will revisit at the end of the season to see if this fee is appropriate for future seasons. SO please understand when we have any fundraisers, these help off set some costs for us to continue to keep dues low. The Hearthstone Country Club does have a social membership available and initiation fees will be waived for swim team families. The membership is $185 per month for a 12-month term.
